American Character was a book project commissioned in 1998 by Kesaharu Imai, the publisher of World Photo Press, Tokyo under their imprint Green Arrow Graffitti. The book was a creative collaboration among Warren Dotz, California College of the Arts graduates, Michelle Richards and Gigi Rabago and Academy of Art University graduate, Masud Husain.
